I'm unsure if Adobe Reader's update failure is due to 's lack of an update for Mac OS Intel 10.8.5. On Adobe's website I noticed that my exact operating system 10.8.5 is not included in the drop down menu, so I chose Mac OS Intel 10.8. Here is the link to the FF page where I check my plugins. However, I know the installation must have failed because when I go to FireFox check plugins, FF indicates that my Adobe Reader plugin is vulnerable ("Status") and says under "Action" that I should update it now. I go through all the steps listed on the help menu, and at the end of the installation, says that the installation was successful. I have gone to Adobe's website: and tried to update Adobe Reader DC while following all the instructions on the help menu. I'm unable to update Adobe Reader v 11.0.10 to the latest version on Mac OS X 10.8.5.
